Hem votat!

The referendum campaign of 1st October would not have been possible without guile, effort, enthusiasm, the will and work of thousands and thousands of Catalans who used their free time and did not dodge any risk, who have given their time, money and provided infrastructure. The photographer Ernest Costa decided to go round the country to photograph this public effort. In We have voted! he records the posters, the murals, the paintings, the t-shirts, the banners and, above all, the outcry and the slogans which made the 1st October referendum possible. We know that all this material is fleeting and that, as Joan Fuster once said, «we don?t make all policies, others make them against us.» This book is a graphic document that pays testimony to the pages we are writing right now, pages which ?we know? will leave their mark.
